Liz Schneider

Bold, unassuming patters and a brilliant mix of unlikely color combinations perfectly describe my body of work and personality. Originally, I painted the majority of my work outside in the sun, forcing the paint to dry quickly which allowed for a unique paint layering effect.  Recently, I've been exploring more blended and softer looks on wood and canvas.  

I'm a self-taught artist and am convinced that my college courses in architectural drafting and photography still influence the composition and shadows of my work.  

My desire to create is overpowering at times.  Cutting wood for canvasses and mixing paint is sometimes just as satisfying creatively as the finished project.
