Lesley Grainger

Lesley was born in Yorkshire, England, where she grew up in a small Northern fishing town. As a child she knew she always wanted to be an artist, she received a B.A. Honors First Class degree in Illustration and Design. She met her future husband in her hometown, Lesley and her husband now reside in California with their two children.

Artist Statement:

Painting for me is a spiritual experience. I seek to explore the creative mind and spirit through the expression of abstract painting and the language of color. Inspired by the inner spiritual desire to create, I work intuitively as I explore color, movement, form, and layering elements. Each piece is a reflection of experience, time and what I’m exploring at that moment. I believe art can change the way we think, the way we feel, the way we connect.
